Navy Strength Seabreeze

Our Navy Strength take on what is usually a vodka based cocktail makes for a delicious Summer drink with it's citrus nature cut with the salinity of the gin. This is quite a bitter cocktail so if you want to tone down the bitterness, adding a touch of soda water works wonderfully.

Ingredients:
25ml Grenadine
100ml Fresh Pink Grapefruit Juice (or try 75ml Pink Grapefruit mixed with 25mls Soda, depending on your taste for bitterness)
Method:
Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice then strain in to a tall Collins glass over ice and garnish with a slice of lime.

Bottled at a punchy 57.1%, it is a mightier and more flavourful version of our 171 London Dry and has been seasoned with English sea salt. A portion of proceeds from online sales will be donated to charities supporting vital ocean welfare work.

The gin is distilled with English-grown wheat and Portobello Road Gin’s signature recipe of nine time honoured botanicals: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, orris root, lemon peel, liquorice root, cassia bark and nutmeg. A small amount of English sea salt is added at the end of the distillation process resulting in a subtle yet distinct flavour.

It is intense, ginny, punchy, characterful, mixable and has a distinct maritime edge to it. A gin for gin lovers, and if you like Portobello you’ll really like Portobello Navy Strength.
